Mercedes-Benz Style Coupe Concept (2012)

CARBARN | Mercedes-Benz Style Coupe Concept (2012) | Its sporty proportions breathtakingly powerful and dynamic design language, with the interplay between concave and convex surfaces that is so typical of Mercedes, give this four-door coupé its distinctive look. The painting of the concept vehicle is in Alubeam a color that helps highlight the sculptural quality of the lines. The headlights of the innovative Concept Coupe style reminiscent of the ever-cautious, almost intimidating eyes of a predator. In standby mode, they glow red.  Three distinct lines structure of the vehicle when viewed from the side: the leading edge structural flows over the wings fall towards the rear end in a characteristic line. Another, sinewy line extends across the shoulder muscle above the rear axle, while the third line extends upward in a sweeping curve from front to rear. The ripple of the prominent design uses mirrors the design freedoms enjoyed by a concept car.

Perforated sticks in the spokes meet again on the diamond design of the grille. The Concept Coupe style features frameless side windows, and has no B-pillar. A large panoramic roof creates a bright and airy interior. An integrated dual-flow exhaust system underscores the sporty credentials and additional space in the rear end. A narrow rear diffuser pulls back on the dotted pattern of the diamond lattice. A large carbon-fiber trim spanned its full width, giving it the elegance and unmistakable "cool" appeal of a coupé. When activated, the display will light up a ring in the pipes. Flowing back into a long, continuous wave from the instrument panel is the center console.

The world of fashion was the inspiration for the color mixture of light gray and anthracite. A fresh, sporty look is neon green piping and stitching, which are displayed on the instrument panel, steering wheel, seat and door center panels added among other places. Fine materials and quality workmanship combined to create a new benchmark for quality. All chrome trim and control panels for the first time have a black anodized, as seen on top-of-the-range Limited Edition Chronograph sports watches. The faces around the HMI control panel have the glossy sheen of black anodized aluminum.

The design of the air vents in the dashboard reminds aircraft jet engine. As with the Concept A-class, they are set to backlight and change color according to the temperature of the inhabitants of the air conditioning system. The software for the COMAND online applications is not stored in the vehicle, but runs the backend of the Daimler vehicle. Sportsmanship in the amount of time: the engine Sporty driving dynamics are coupled to the hallmarks of good efficiency of the engine of the Concept Coupé style. Powerful wheel-drive is provided by the 2.0-liter version of the new petrol engine generation with 155 kW (211 hp), combined here with the efficient 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and the 7G-DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission.
